Unique Friends News

At our session in January, Unique Friends was presented with a cheque from Goole Lions for £150 which had been raised through their carol singing. We are extremely grateful for this donation and will be putting it towards activities at our future sessions.

Unique Friends have worked in conjunction with Echoes Foundation since we began and we are sad to see them go. The trustees appreciate the hard work and effort that was put in, and so we wish to carry some of the work on, and have received full support from Echoes. We are very excited to announce our Bringing senses together project, which allows us to loan sensory equipment out to families for a booked period, if you are interested then please contact us either by email, Facebook or through the contact number provided.

Dates for our sessions in 2018 are now on our facebook page under the events tab. Make a note of them in your diaries.

We are planning to increase our sessions in the next few months to enable our members to access more activities. We are also looking at doing social gatherings for our parent/carers.

There is lots of work going on behind the scenes planning the future of the group. All of the trustees put a lot of time and effort into providing the sessions etc. We are all excited for what the future has in store for us as a group.

We are looking for volunteers to join us on the committee and to help run sessions. If you are interested please contact Amanda, our Chair on 07713 156232 or via the groups email : for more information.

We have linked in with St Anne's School and 6th Form College at Welton to promote our group to the families of children who attend the school. We are looking at other ways to promote our group and link in with other organsations/agencies.
